Sports
Sport is a pathway for belonging, physical activity, mental wellness, leadership, cultural integration, and newcomer connection.

LMS Canada
LMS Canada is the flagship sports initiative of Inclusive Canada Foundation. Inclusive Canada Foundation is the master franchise holder of the Last Man Stands league in Canada.
Through LMS Canada, we use fast, accessible, technology-enabled cricket to create inclusive sport pathways for newcomers, youth, students, families, workplaces, and community leaders. Use of the phrase "one of the world's largest amateur cricket networks" reflects LMS's global platform.
Newcomer Cricket Program
Our Newcomer Cricket Program helps newcomers play, connect, and build community from day one. Through low-barrier cricket, mentorship, team support, and community connection, the program reduces financial, language, equipment, transportation, social, and awareness barriers that often prevent newcomers from participating in sport and community life.
The program creates newcomer participation, cultural exchange, confidence, and belonging. Participants often stay connected through their teams long after the season ends.
- Low-barrier entry — financial, language, equipment, and transportation barriers removed
- Newcomer participation, cultural exchange, and community connection
- Coaching, mentorship, and team support from day one
- Confidence-building through consistent team membership
Supported in part by the Government of Canada REO (Reaching Each and Every One) program, the Newcomer Cricket Program has grown from our 2021 pilot into a multi-season initiative serving communities across Surrey, Vancouver, Burnaby, and beyond.
Supported by Canadian Tire Jumpstart where applicable. Partnership with Surrey School District.
Junior Cricket Program
Our Junior Cricket Program introduces young players to cricket in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. The program builds skills, confidence, teamwork, physical literacy, and belonging for youth from newcomer and equity-deserving families.
Our junior work is proudly supported by Canadian Tire Jumpstart where applicable, and we work with Surrey School District to reach youth who may not otherwise access organized sport.

Indoor and Tape-Ball Cricket
Our indoor and tape-ball cricket programs help participants stay active year-round, especially during BC's rainy and winter months. Tape-ball cricket is a familiar, low-barrier format for many newcomer communities.
It creates an accessible pathway into organized sport, fitness, and social connection. Year-round programming is important for physical health, routine, and mental wellness, especially for newcomers who may feel more isolated during colder months.
